Bryon DeGraw, 27, born in Iowa and raised in Wilmington, NC, moved to Martinsburg, WV thirteen years ago. After graduating from Martinsburg High School, Bryon attended York Technical Institute in York, PA where he studied and graduated in the Computer-Aided Drafting and Design program.  Upon graduation, Bryon started his career at a prominent residential building component manufacturer as a Truss Repair Design Technician.  Within months he provided repair design services for the entire company’s multi-million dollar east coast truss market.  In the fall of 2007 Bryon changed careers and began working for a well-known commercial plumbing and HVAC contractor in the Frederick MD area as a Trade Coordination Technician.  His work ensured the coordination of mechanical trades in several large-scale school, office building, and boiler room projects.  In late summer of 2009, after much prayer, consideration and preparation, Bryon along with his wife decided it was time to make the transition to self employment.

Ron Stevens, 44, born and raised in Frederick MD, graduated from Frederick High School and completed a two year program from Frederick County Vocational School with a certification in Carpentry. His first accomplishment came quickly with an award for winning the “Builders Olympics”. After graduation, he was offered jobs by multiple prominent companies due to his skill and integrity. Choosing the path of custom carpentry, Ron worked in Frederick MD and the Montgomery County/Potomac areas for more than 20 years. In short time, he was working on and constructing some of the largest luxury homes in the area. Ron moved to Martinsburg WV with his wife and two children in 2001 and soon thereafter made a choice to transition into production building in PA. There he further developed his managerial skills while frequently handling dozens of homes at a time, resulting in several awards for superior performance and productivity. Despite his great success in production building, he missed the custom building industry from which he came, and in 2005 decided with his wife to open The Custom Finish, a successful construction and remodeling company.

The relationship between Bryon and Ron began soon after and grew stronger and gained momentum when they realized their visions and goals for a successful business were aligned, built on a standard of the highest quality custom work that crosses paths with the value and appreciation for the customer.  Together they have worked very hard to design and build a business that truly values each customer and appreciates every opportunity to present their quality product.  With Ron’s impeccable workmanship and 27 years of experience in building and remodeling and Bryon’s superior technical skills, field experience, and engineering background, Zion Builders is quickly becoming a top choice for custom home building, remodeling and home renovation all throughout the Tri-state area.
